Puppy Food Recommendations:

I recommend buying one large bag of Royal Canin Large Breed Puppy. Once that bag is gone, you can change your puppy to any of the foods listed below.

  • Royal Canin Large Breed Puppy (current food)

  • ProPlan Large Breed Puppy

  • Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy

We also recommend your puppy receives the following with each meal:

  • 500 mg of Vitamin C

  • 500 mg of Fish Oil with DHA per day

  • Probiotic

  • Cranberry Relief or D-mannose

Feeding instructions:

  • At 8 weeks old, offer 1 cup of food, three times a day, with 1/2 cup of warm water poured over it, do not soak, feed immediately.

  • At 16 weeks old, offer 1 1/3 cup of food, three times a day, with 1/2 cup of warm water poured over it, do not soak, feed immediately.

  • At 20 weeks old, offer 2 1/2 cups of food twice a day, with 1/2 cup of warm water poured over it, do not soak, feed immediately.

  • At 24 weeks, please change to adult food. You should be able to go back to feeding 1 1/2 cups twice a day.

  • At 2 years old, unless your dog is very active, feed 1 cup of food twice a day.

Adult food recommendations

  • Pro Plan Large Breed, Beef or Chicken (we feed beef)

  • Royal Canin Labrador Retriever Adult Dry Dog Food

  • Royal Canin Large Adult Duy Dog Food

  • Eukanuba Large Breed Dry Dog Food

Remember your dog will experience rapid growth between the ages of three to ten months and excess weight at this time may cause health problems. My feeding instructions are just guidelines for the average puppy. You may need to adjust as needed.
